Pizza in the Crock Pot
Serves: 2
Portions: 1 Yellow (does not include the toppings you added)Ingredients:
1 Pre-made store bought Pizza dough crust, or make your own
1 Jar Pizza sauce (or make your own here)
8oz mozz cheese (for topping)
1/2 cup mixed veggies like onions/green peppers etc
17 Slices of Turkey Pepperoni
Directions:
Prep your crock:
1. Using parchment paper, place a couple strips (to form an X, that go up both sides and across the bottom. This will provide us a way to get the pizza OUT at the end.
2. Sprinkle a little cornmeal or flour of choice on the bottom of the crock, this will help it not to stick.
3. Press the dough into the crock. You may need to trim a bit off. Leave enough to form an edge to help hold your ingredients in.

4. Using Pizza sauce. Spread 1/3 cup on the dough (You don't want too much, as it will make the crust soggy if you do). A little goes a LONG ways.
5. Add your meat and/or veggie toppings. (ie. sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms etc).
Depending on how many toppings you add, you will want to adjust the cooking times. More toppings will likely mean a longer cooking time.

6. Place on HIGH and place the lid on your crock, vented with a chopstick.
Note: Unvented, or poorly vented it will cause condensation tol form on the lid, so I highly recommend you vent the crockpot using a chopstick or something similar in size. If condensation appears, then every 30mins wipe the inside of the lid, else your pizza will come out very soft.
7. Depending on your crock continue to cook 30mins to 1 more hour.

Pizza is done when it is golden brown. Use the parchment to lift out your pizza and place on a cutting board.
