Hi, I’m Sherry. I’m 54, and over the past months, I’ve been navigating a sciatica journey caused by a bulging disc for 8 weeks now.
It’s been physically painful, emotionally draining, and honestly, at times, really discouraging—but I want to share my story, both the struggles and the small victories, in hopes it might help someone else going through the same thing.
It started with mild discomfort that slowly grew into pain that made daily life a challenge. I’ve tried medications, physical therapy, and most recently, a nerve block. Some days are better than others—sometimes a short walk feels like a major win, other days, just existing without pain feels impossible.
Along the way, I’ve learned a few things: patience is key, celebrating small wins matters, and being consistent with movement, posture, and care routines is supposed to make a difference.
I’ve also leaned heavily on faith and mindset to get through days when the pain is overwhelming.
I’ll be sharing updates on treatments, what’s helped me, setbacks, wins, and everything in between. My hope is to be honest, maybe provide a little guidance, and remind anyone ( including myself) struggling with sciatica that progress is possible—even if it’s slow.
If you’re on a similar journey, you’re not alone.
