Crock Pot Tip : Double Boiler

  • Crock Pot Tip :
  • Use your Crock as a Double Boiler

  • Food blog Mommy’s Kitchen has an awesome tip that solves the issue with overnight recipes that don't require 6-8 hours to cook... I mean, who wants to wake up to bunt oatmeal, right?  And then getting that crud off the crock when you clean it.... no thank you!
  • What Mommy's kitchen recommends is to turn your crock into a double boiler by filling the crock partially with water, then add your ingredients into a bowl, which you can set in the water.  This allows your stuff to cook perfectly and slows the cooking down slightly too!
