Eating clean is easy for about the first day, okay maybe 2 days. Inevitably the weekend hits and ... you need to make a decision on weather your going to pass up Aunt Mary's cookies, or if you're going to have Grandmas Banana Split dessert or, if you will stick to clean eating.
For me, clean eating has become a healthy way of life and it has been maintainable....until I have to make a decision on weather I will or won't reach for a piece of halloween candy. Until I need to decide, am I have Bread at Subway? Until I'm faced with a choice...Ice cream or not?
My biggest struggle has been sugar cravings. Point blank. Chocolate.
It could be that I'm stressed from work, or life. Maybe at work they brought in a bazillion treats and I long to have one(or sneak one with out anyone looking). Regardless of what triggers the desire, the desire hits me at certain points in time and while 1 cheat won't hurt my progress, there are times when I would rather just save the cheat and indulge in something healthy -- clean and guilt free!
It is highly possible to 'cheat clean' There are a bazillion ways to do it; from making your own concoction, to buying a pre-made item. All you need to do is watch the ingredients and portion sizes. Really, its that simple. It may not be easy to give up Aunt Mary's cookie...but it is simple to create your own version and still be in line with your goals.
