Swamps, don't see much in development or attracting people. They lack a fresh source of input and an outlet for the fresh water to go out of it. The low water becomes stagnant and unpleasant.
Rivers, flow straight and fast. Older rivers flow slowly.
Should things pull into you and not flow out, you are a swamp? Do you think like you did 20 years ago? Do you live and work like you did 10 years ago. If you are not sharing with others, you are a swamp.
The first part of the equation is to continually gather new information, inspiration and information. The second part is to make sure it flows through you and has an outlet. The flowing will keep the momentum going and allow that inspiration and information to keep going.
How can you make sure it continues to flow? By having an outlet for it to flow to. Share it with friends, co-workers, people you meet. Share and pass the information along so you can continue to be a river...not a swamp.
